The Office of Cybersecurity and Privacy ensures that the technical and logistical aspects of legal preservation obligations are met. This is accomplished through the eDiscovery processes, technologies and the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) framework.
J OB SUMMARY:
The Preservation Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the operational excellence of the eDiscovery activities, including but not limited to:
Monitoring and evaluation of eDiscovery compliance including the development and reporting of performance measure
P erforming or coordinating electronic collections per legal requirements
A cting as a subject matter expert in eDiscovery
C ommunicating, coordinating and consulting with legal counsel, Information Technology, and outside vendors to ensure legal requirements are being satisfied
E nsuring eDiscovery alignment with industry acceptable standards and requirements
Creating trending metrics and management reports
T racking and maintaining legal preservation including the custodians, physical/ electronic preservation collections and the associated processes
B achelor's Degree plus 3 years of experience with eDiscovery / evidence management required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Experience providing eDiscovery services and litigation support on complex and large cases involving eDiscovery challenges
Strong eDiscovery background with a solid understanding of eDiscovery methodologies
E xcellent client management skills, and experience in leading projects with cross-functional technical and legal teams
Action-oriented, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively to executive, business, technical, and client audiences
High degree of knowledge and experience in understanding of evidence handling, legal terminology and eDiscovery Programs
A bility to establish an effective workflow/solution-based/project management approach that will deliver on the goals and objectives of all assigned tasks and project
E xtremely knowledgeable of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) (data collection, review, analytics and production)
Broad knowledge of IT Infrastructures to include storage, backup, retention, destruction, authentication, access controls, and data management
P rior knowledge and experience managing eDiscovery efforts
Excellent communication, presentation, and inter-personal skills
ACEDS, EDEC, certified paralegal or similar eDiscovery technical certifications
